Grotech was established in 1991 with a small setup with vision to give a new dimension to Indian Landscape Industry. In 1991 Indian Landscape Industry was only confined to residences of Big Industrial houses, few farmhouses and star hotels. Landscaping was synonymous to luxury. It was not identified as a commodity of Environmental need or to develop a general ambience of living environment.

Slowly it started growing after Real estate boom. Simultaneously, Dot Com revolution also gave a big exposure towards overseas awareness/global impact to Indian Landscape Industry.

The Biggest challenge to our Industry was need as to compose as an Organized Sector and now with international exposure it is getting organised.

Right from beginining Grotech tried to work as an organized team in Indian Landscape Industry with professional approach and to follow standard practices equivalent to International Standards.

Availability of skilled Landscape Engineer was negligible at that time; people from Horticulture background managed most of the projects so engineering aspect was completely missing. Grotech started for the first time in India with “Landscape Engineers”. They were trained to work as a complete solution provider to all external works, which afterwards become a complete Landscaping subject in Indian Market. The biggest advantage of this was in interfacing the activities with closure coordination and also to understand all specialized features of landscape.

This resulted for industry to start up Big Landscaping project including all elements, which include Softscaping / Hardscaping / Irrigation / Water feature / Landscape Lighting. Undertaking projects of such magnitude was a big challenge for us but with the time we got success and were preferred for bigger projects. In this, our biggest asset was extensive uses of machinery.

Second aspect that Grotech had identified is “Value of time frames”. Running with time lines and achieving challenging target dates with well planned management & tremendous resource Development.

Quality with available resource in Indian market was biggest hurdle which we faced especially for Plant material when we compare with overseas scenario. So, we started culture of setting up "Site Nursery" that helps us in propagation of quality plants and combating the same.

Still we feel it’s a long way to go. We have to uplift our quality/technique/time management innovations and professionalism to meet with international standards and beyond.

Grotech is committed to achieve this goal soon with a big expanding team of 120 members working day & night with full of dedication and enthusiasm. Also we feel our suppliers/venders are big component in our success. On the other hand our clients have shown trust and confidence in us by maintaining long-term association.
